i got a TS9 clone on strip board but i think i pluged the power in backwards or but too much power into it, or whatever anyway what would blow if i plugged it in backwords or put too much power into it? :(

phillip

Plugging it in backwards probably wouldn't hurt anything.  However, too much power could kill electrolytic capacitors and possibly the IC, depending on how much voltage was applied to it.  The RC4558 can handle 18V according to the Texas Instruments data sheet, and I suspect that the JRC4558 would also have an 18V max power supply.

yes, the 4558 *is* rated max  18V.
but, *with* the correct polarity.
(i think that's "plus & minus eighteen")
if U reversed the voltage polarity, first thing to suspect
is all active devices--transistors, opamps.
If only for a bit, the caps probably survived.
Check trannys 4 shorts with an ohm meter.
Check opamps with ohm meter also at the pos & neg pwr inputs.
compare to good OA....just measure differents pins for comparason.

Which stripboard layout did you use ?
