Parallel Loop Bypass

I need to build a stomp box that acts like a Parallel effects loop.

The idea is to be able to get a Delay pedal to be mixed out when ran into the front of a distorted amp that does not have an effects loop.

My first thought on how it could be done simply did not work out like I thought that it would. Does anyone have an idea how to properly implement a Stomp to do this? Seems like it could be done passively but I might be wrong as I'm not much of a stomp box guy myself.

Any help would be appreciated.

I built a two loop pedal pretty easily -- one input jack, send and receive A, send and receive B, one output jack.  3PDT switches between the two loops.  So it's a two loop looper, without a Y/both loops option.  I also put a switch in to "close" one of the loops, making it act like a simple bypass box.  1 3PDT,  1 SPDT, 6 mono jacks.  That's on the simplicity end of the spectrum.

And I'm assuming you've seen the plans for the slick A/B/Y box on GeoFex -- that, I'd say, falls on the feature/quality end of the spectrum.

Using those as a reference -- what do you need that they don't provide?

cheers!

A simple bypass loop is not what I'm after, I've built many of those.

What I'm after is something that will allow me to mix an effect in the loop in Parallel with the original signal. With a Mix knob to go between Dry and Wet with a Delay pedal. Adding a bypass switch is just a bonus feature.

Have you seen the Paralooper at Moosapotmus' site?

Is that what you're looking for? This pedal allows you to mix in the effects loop as much as you want. Haven't built it, so I can't comment.

Correct me if I'm wrong but almost every single delay pedal has a mix knob. So it has it built in.
