I posted some clips before, but it was of some rhythm playing, so I a little sloppy single note stuff.  I just can say enough how great of a pedal this is.  Great job Ed!!!!!

Wow!  Sounds great!  I love the Satch, nice work.  :)

I heard your old clips a while ago, and I'm still blown away- that sounds amazing.  That's it, the BSIAB II has jumped to the top of my "to build list."  Thank you.

That sounds bad-ass. Is that the Tokai with the Duncan Custom 5?

Sam

I really have to build that one soon! It sounds awesome!

I used an all maple Carvin DC127 with stock pickups for everything but the sweet child of mine, for that I used the tokai with th Custom 5.  Let me tell you Ed, It takes a really good pedal to tame the all maple carvin because it's so bright.

Ed G.

Wow, I didn't think the Carvin could sound that fat, that must have been the neck pickup? Sounds wicked.
I'd always found a lot of dist. pedals too bright, or not enough range b/w dark and bright sounds. Like the DS-1. Either you're screechin' or it's muffled and muddy. I don't like sitting down in front of a pedal, dicking around with 1/1000ths of a turn to try to get it just right. The output multi-pole lowpass filters had a lot to do with that. I picked that up from the ROG stuff. Mark Hammer later explained it, how multi-pole filters can get a sharp enough filter slope to where you shave off the most obnoxious frequencies, leaving the 'good' highs intact. The result is you have a clearer, punchier sound that's easier to dial in.

Wow! That sounds really good! What where you using for an amp? And how much preamp gain did you have dialed in? Or did you record direct?

That was all pedal going to a completely clean channel.
