I tried the mod I was talking about the other day, and I had no luck with it. I made a mod to switch the full wave rectifier to a bridge style rectifier. I was under the impression that the octave effect may end up being more defined if I was to do a little more wave folding, but it obviously doesn't work that way. All it ended up doing was loading the output down to about half of the original. I had gotten the idea of using the bridge circuit off of the John Hollis Boost/Octave. I'm sure there is a perfectly good explaination, and that it was never meant to work with this circuit, but I don't know why.  :?  Could it be the transformer primary/ secondary ratio difference between the two circuits? The SOU is not one of those circuits that needs anymore octave, It's great just the way it is. It was just a test I tried for an option.
