Wah Modders - socketing the inductor ?

My question is would this be a good idea if I want to be able to switch inductors whenever I want to without re-sodering. A crazy idea I have is to hook up the TDK, Fasel, & Fultone inductor to a rotary switch so I can simply have all options at the turn of a knob. (just an Idea so far ..) :?

Another question would be, I put the true bypass switch in my Thomas crybaby. Now I want to increase the volume by changing the input resistor. Being new, all these resistors look the same to me !?! Is there any way (or lable) to tell me which is the input resistor ?

I'm new to modding effects and I'm learning very slowly about what all the parts are and what they do. This site so far is the best one for newbie's.

Thanks

General Guitar Gadgets has a layout for switchable inductors

Great sites on wah mods and what they do:

The "volume" resistor is 68k, drop it to 47k and you should be all set. The stock 68k should be blue, grey, orange, and gold/silver.

Here's a resistor calculator to help you identify resistors. Use a magnifying glass, check the colors on your board, and plug them into the calculator. The first three bands denote the value, and the fouth band (silver/gold) denotes the tolorance range. This calculator is for carbon comp/film, 5 & 10% tolorance resistors.

Hi

you might want to search for fasel (red or yellow) not only here

but in google too. I think it s feasable the way you described it

but is there a possibility of interference betwen the 2.

That s a point I don t know!!

The difference should be highly noticable

Aron sells the yellow fasels for a great price right here. The GGG inductor rotary switch layout works fine, no interference.

Well this idea isn't all that crazy, the only thing is will you have enough room for that many inductors?pl
