The Vulcan's have a tubish squish feel that I haven't found in any other distortion.  Love it.

To make your own darlington, follow this diagram:

Watch the heat levels inside the Dtown, I've fried 2 2n5089's doing that...now I use full length lead transistors only, and solder real quick at only near the botttoms ends the leads.

Yes, the "Tripple Fuzz" is also wonderful, as I wrote in my review the other day. What happens to the most of us though, is "The Recent Build Fickles". After building yet another great circuit, you have to revisit the last few to remember that they were just as good in their own way. I still play my "Simple Square Wave shaper", fairly often because I love the buzzy, synthy sound too. The Digital Octaver Fuzz, is a wicked thing too, and very over the top.
