is there anyway to take the signal from a "HEADPHONE" output and split it to 5 headphones? any splitters?

heaps of commercially available options - Or do you want to diy? For the price of some of the cheper ones I probably wouldn't bother myself, but it's up to you.

Although it probably wouldn't be too hard to make one I went and bought a Samson C-Que-8 this week. It has four channels with eight outputs and it also has an Aux input with a blend pot so you can mix two inputs. The LED meters look cool with the lights out too. For around $125 dollars it was worth it IMO. You can get a Behringer 4-channel box for around $40 that has only volume controls.

I'll open it up and see what components are used inside.
