Damn! You beat me to it! I was gonna mention both of those. First off, a common thing from chrome dome knobs is to have a plastic knob (or acrylic in your case) on the inside, and just a metal knob to slip over it. Also, all the dunlop cast wah pedal casings are made of zinc alloy (in the manual).

Yeah the enclosures are the hardest thing at the moment because I can't get anyone to get a wall thickness less than 4mm using a gravity pour but this new zinc guy may be able to do them if I do them in two halves of about equal depth or even as a three piece with top bottom and sides.Though that actually then requires much more dexterity in making the models as something 2mm thick is actually quite hard to make and shape. But I'm going there soon and in the next day or two I'll have a couple of fx pedals fully built, for selling, and they'll have the knobs on them though the boxes are proprietary rectangles.Gotta get some cash together to keep going at it....do I keep mentioning that, oops sorry!
Monkey see, monkey do.
