So I toasted my Metal Zone today. I was modding the clipping section of it and when I plugged it in to my power supply, without even turning it on, the clipping LED started to fry. I went through about 3 of them before I gave up on it.

Any insight into what might have happened?

Well it must be pushing alot of voltage in the clipping section to fry the LED. Try adding a resistor in series before the diode section. Try a 100K and see what happens.

Opps, that should have been a 100 ohm resistor, not 100K, sorry there.

Maybe u reverse the polarities already, coz i fried several LED also when modding my DS1. But my DS1 now not working anymore, still wondering why.. Pls do post the mod u have done if u mod the MT2 succesfully, coz i have one unit in toolbox also 8)
