hiya all!

well, i want to build myself a tremolo unit to use it with my band, touring and stuff, and i have no clue which one to build, since i never played on a boutique one and i don't know the differences, all i know about this effect is through sound samples found on various diy sites and projects.

i would to build something like the tremolo heard in the opening song of the mudhoney's self titled alubm, i think it's "this gift", this is the sample of  the song (this gift.mp3 15sec, 177kb).

oh yeah, another question, the second guitar heard on the song "money" by pink floyd, is that tremolo effect? i think it is. sound sample here (money.mp3 12sec, 192kb)

i was thinking about building Pulsar from the tonepad.com site, will it be able to deliver this kind of vibrating effects?
thanks!

i'd say build the tremulus lune from commonsound. It's the most versatile trem around and im pretty sure it can nail anything, at any speed you want. You can make it as simple or as complex as you want, and it's still not a terribly large circuit at all. based on an opto circuit, but not very picky at all, so its cheap. in a pinch, the EA trem though is simple and works/sounds great.

(and I built the Pulsar and didn't think it was worth boxing, btw)

Go for the tremulus lune. I love mine, it is not so hard to build one and it sounds like the best tremolo you'ver ever heard.

EA Tremolo.  Sounds great for bass, too!

The EA tremelo is very good but if you want an over the top version that is strong even through distortion try the Kay version. You WILL know when this is on.
