Hi all.

I have a active bass (active electronics, passive pickups; a Bartonlini NTMB clone) and now my Big Muff Pi is sounding like crap (low volume, no real fuzz). I read in another post about the Bazz Fuss that uses a transformer (part) to overcome this. Is this also possible on the BMP?

The output with NTMB is lower than w/o NTMB? IIRC the BMP has an input buffer.... :?:

No, but I read somewhere else that this was used to overcome the problems when using active hardware. When using passive hardware t1 could be removed.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if you connect your bass via the NTMB to your BMP you should'nt get a volume drop from the BMP. Also a transformer like you mentioned IMHO would'nt prevent this. But I am definitively no expert.

I'm not sure it will solve your problem based on what others have said, but I think what you are looking for can be found in the Deluxe Bazz Fuss HERE (scroll down to find it).

Yes, I've read that. The weird part is that with my active bass the BMP sounds like ****, it is cutting all over the place even with the volume at max. I was thinking about building the "bass-thru" box; read goo dstuff on Moosopathamus site.

I've just finished a BassThru/Bass Paralooper, and I plant to post a build report in the next day or so. I used Torchy's layout for it, which had a few errors...

OK, I haven't had any time to look into it, so I would like to read that post. Keep me informed!
