Shaka tube distortion

Ok I'm gearing up to build this:

About to order parts, making a parts list.  I havn't been able to find any threads on this pedal.  Anyone built one of these?   Is there perhaps a "better" tube distortion schematic out there I should look into first?

Any info would be great, as i'm kinda still a newb and this will only be my thrid pedal.  First pedal not from a kit.

I love my Shaka Tube! It's still on my pedalboard, and I don't think it will ever not be on it.  :lol:
