I finished this earlier today and I love the sound  :D
It offers you a nice "clear & bright" tone - which you can darken with the
eq of course, and its very sensitive to "picking" dynamics.
Lots of sounds from mild "OD" to a fuller "rock" sound are available, the
eq makes it easy to match up with your gtr/amp combination.
Very impressive for a three 5089's circuit  !! :D

Thanks Doug for a job well done on this one and thank you for sending
me your schematic.
Its a definate "keeper" and has a place on the pedal-board alongside my
new "colorsound overdriver"  .....

"Highly" recommended build and only a couple of hours on perf or
stripboard - fired up first time  ....

I built it  a while back and really liked it as well!!

I should break mine out again. It's a nice sounding one.  8)

Thanks for the report, Marty. I'm glad you are enjoying it. Make sure you try backing your guitar vol off to clean it up. That's one of its main strengths AFAIC.

For some reason it can sound kind of thin through some amps. I'll have to figure that out sometime. Hmmm...

I thought you did figure that out... didn't you change some cap values or something like that?

There's certainly enough "bottom end" with use of the eq, do you mean
more "mid body" ?
I dont have that problem through the Matamp C7 or the Classic 30 ... !

Caps ... ?

I'm enjoying it imensely   :D

I tried that but it didn't work. Some time I'll get back to it.

No, I mean "bottom end". It may be a quirk of my tube amps. Through the SS amp it sounds great, very full. BTW I have a similar issue with my Hot Silicon when I don't have the "fat switch" pulled. Sounds great on both settings through the SS amp but only thick enough on the "fat" setting through the tube amp.

It's not a big deal. Not all pedals work with all amps. When I figure that one out, you guys will be the last to know how I did it- not until after I've made my first million...

Mr. Doug -- :)

Would it be okay if I email you for the schematic? I'd like to put it on my future builds list (which keeps on growing: curse you all *shakes fist*). I figured I'd ask first, then send. It's that whole "politeness" thing I was taught as a kid. Thanks. Glad to have you back here again.

Mr. Patrick: we have an extra mail-thread for this:

:)

I saw that awhile back. I just didn't wat to A) bump a thread that wasn't really necessary and B) email for no apparent reason. But.... I guess I'll go ahead and email anyway. Thanks puretube for reminding me where the "search" button is :)
