Boss MD-2

Does anyone have a schematic or some mod info on this pedal?  It seems to be a combination crunchy distortion with compression, I'm not a huge fan of the sound, but it gets the job done when it needs to.

I was wondering how it worked so i could possibly mod it, or use ideas from it in my own pedals.
