I'm going to build an OS+++ soon, and in the schematic I have there are a couple of parts that I want to ask about. I think I know what they are, but I'm not about to assume so and mess up the build.

When you see something like a cap labelled 4u7. I thought I read someplace online that you just replace the "u" in the middle with a decimal, so the actual part would be 4.7 uF. Is this true?

Thats called standard notation.

4u7 = 4.7uF
4n7 = 4.7nF
2k2 = 2.2k

Saves confusion - the decimal point can be hard to read/print.

fine, spud; make me look stupid :D
