I'm building Moosapotamus' take on the paralooper. I've pretty much done everything, and want to buy the last remaining parts (enclosure, etc). I want the thing to be able to run off a 9V DC adapter as well as a battery. I need to know what size tip most adapters have. Is there a standard size? I'm been told it's either 2.1mm or 2.5mm. I don't have an adapter at home to check. Also, what sort of socket for the 9v tip is the best to get? Is there a best? Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated!

PS, I did a search and couldn't find anything useful.

standard is 2.1mm for both plug and socket. Get the plastic ones if using a metal enclosure to stop it shorting....
