so about 6 months ago i signed up for a free sample from njr for a 4558 and a 4559 chip...so i got them a few weeks later.  shortly thereafter i decided it was unethical to be ordering all these samples so i stopped completely.  well about 3 days later another sample shipment from njr showed up...this time with 10 of each chip!  i was kinda like oh well maybe a mistake so i threw em under my worktable in my stash.  a month later another envelope with 20 more chips showed up again!  they keep coming, ive gotten like 6 orders from them with more and more chips!  ive emailed them a few times but each time i just got another sample order confirmation email from them.  this is scary!

it seems as though they might have finally gotten it, as i havent gotten an envelope from them for about 2 months, but i keep getting all these confirmation emails that i ordered chips and then a sample follow-up survey form.  i just logged onto my email and found 2 more!

Boy... and I was feeling bad cuz i recently ordered a few sample chips from fairchild for legitimate prototyping purposes (six-"string" synthtar), but i had mispelled my email address the first time... Figuring they must send a confirmation email or SOMETHING, i repeated the request with the correct e-mail, only to find that BOTH requests had gone through.  I suppose it's kind of fortunate that they're including them in the same shipment so it shouldn't cost them much extra... just the 6 chips more than i need... but still.

You've really emailed them and let them know the situation?  sounds weird.  Could someone have gotten into your user account with them?  Maybe something wrong with your account in their system?

Email them and let them know you're still getting these emails.  I'm sure they'll fix it quickly enough.

yeah i just fired off another email.  ive replied to the guy whos been emailing me and sent several to other contacts on their websites.  at least, like i said, it seems like now theyre just sending me emails and not chips anymore.
