Vox 830 Distortion

First off hello to everyone.  I'll get to the chase here, I have a Vox 830 Distortion pedal that is being weird.  What it's been doing-sometimes when on works fine but then when I switch it off no signal.  Then last night when off clean signal fine but when I switch it on barely any signal (except when I tap it, signal comes back).  I'm thinking bad switch.  Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance.

I just sold mine so I can't check, but IIRC, those pedals are mechanical true bypass, meaning that in bypass mode the signal isn't going through any part of the circuitry, so that would have to be a problem in the switch or switch wiring.

those Vox pedals all had cheap switches.... I must have replaced half a dozen of them in the first 6 months of them coming out.  A good DPDT will solve your problem.
