OK- I just built my 3rd Tonemender, and I get some horrid squeeling from all 3 at various points on various control pots. the only thing I am not 100% certain to have correct is the mid shifting switch.
Im using a regular Xwing type DPDT. Looking at it with 3 on top and 3 on bottom- where is SWA Lug1,  SWB Lug 1 and so on? I think I might be trying all the wrong ways to wire this switch and its causing a feedback loop along the way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Of all the configurations I attempted, Im not sure I went with that one.
I'll try it tonight.

Thanks!

no dice... same problem. I guess I'll just have to say this one just isnt for me... but it sounds like it would be cool as hell.

Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that the project is proving to be frustrating.  I'm sure you've already done so, but double-checking the offboard wiring is a good idea.  I know there's an awful lot of connections in the circuit and it's difficult to keep them all sorted.

Another section to check is that all the necessary Vref connections are correct.

How did you build the circuit?  On perf, vero, or PCB?  Which layout did you use?

I thought for a while it was the pots/wiring, so I went through them with a fine tooth comb. I also used some different methods to connect the pots that are wired together... still the same thing.
As for layouts- So far I've built 2 with the image on ROG.com and one of Torchy's strip layout and all 3 have the same problem.
I'll give the PDF posted at ROG a shot this weekend and see what happens.

Thanks again!
