Hi All,

I am totally new to the DIY thing, I just did a couple of mods using kits I purchased, now I want to try a few things on my own.

This is a wonderful site,  I have learned a lot from these excellent resources. But I need some help, very basic help.

I have a Ibanez, CS-9 that works fine but the case is beat up pretty bad and I wood like to put it in a 1590DD. For the most part this is straight forward but I wanted to find out how I can wire a new foot new switch to it since I will probably no longer be able to use the original ibanez switch in the 1590DD.

I am not worried about doing this True Bypass, I just want to be able to turn the unit on and off. I have a couple of 3pdt switches kicking around, can I use them? What should I use? How to wire it in?

Thanks in advance,

ATFF

Use a momentary switch in place of the old switch and the original witching will work. Otherwise, locate the switching FET's for effect signal and replace em with a piece of wire going from drain to source. Take the Bypass fet's out. After that, rewire input and output in a standard TB configuration.

one last question,
Why such an enormous box?  Quite a chance you'll be able to get the stuff in a 1590B and definitely in a 1590BB?
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

Thanks Dirk,

Typo - it is a 1590BB.

The momentary switch you mentioned, I assume that has 2 leads?

Can I add a couple of jumpers to a 3pdt (since I have a couple already) to
make it work?
