Alternative etch-resistant tools?

I just got done transferring a couple of PCB layouts to copper-clad board, and I almost got it perfect this time, lol. However, there are a couple of weak / broken traces, and before I etch, I'd like to retouch the weaker traces. I tried a permanant marker the last time this happened, and it came right off in the ferric chloride; though I was using a generic permanent marker, and not Sharpie brand if that makes a difference.

I'm about to go to Rat Shack and check for an over-priced etch-resist pen, but I doubt they would; I bought the last bottle of ferric chloride they were selling at my local store, and they didn't want to restock :S. So I was wondering if anyone has tried any other methods of making etch-resistant marks on copper board. I could use the leads of the components like a perf layout where needed, but it would be neater to have a clean PCB layout.

U obviously haven't searched this forum for --
"etching"  or "ferric chloride"   etc etc....
if U had, U probably would have run across my continuing suggestion
for using ----fingernail polish...after all, it's just quick-drying enamel.
a little dab-a-do-ya....  :)
MayB U'll want to paint *all* your traces with it.....
mayB not...

I've had better luck useing paint markers than sharpies, you just have to be more careful with them as even the fine point isn't as fine as a brand new sharpie tip is.
