acid and compressed.  I don't need a vintage/Hendrix sound one, or a germanium treble booster.
The only distorion sound I need now (Les Paul > diy AMZ Mini booster > Okko Diablo (what a great pedal! check it out) > THD Univalve) is a modern sounding fuzz for some solos.

I'm playing Queens of the stone age songs and style.  It won't be my main sound, I'll use it only in few solos so I don't want and I can't spend too much on it.

What could I build?  I'm thinking to a silicon version too.

Thanks a lot.

Read the Skyripper post; I guess it will be the most versatile fuzz unit available.

Thanks for the advice.  It seems a relly good pedal, but too difficult to build for me.
Any easier to build suggestion?

Bazz Fuss? I know it can be a real killer when turned up high, even for guitars..... and I think it is acid and compressed.....

And it is VERY EASY to build  :D

Or youse could "kick it up a notch" and make a Buzz box (the one based on the bazz fuss)

Thanks a lot!  Bazz Fuss seems exactly what I need.

It's very similar to some of Queens Of The Stone Age Sounds.

I know that for lead Josh homme uses some sort of octave effect......atleast on the single little sister it sounds like it.

the old qotsa stuff is better though.
