Resistor Value question

Ok, I found a Range Maistro PCB sitting in the bottom of my box o'stuff-it had been sitting there about a year or so. Anyhow, I've got all the components for the Brian May TB except the 2.4k ohm resistor for Rb.
Question is, if I use a 2.2k ohm, will it be close enough to work?

probably.  If not, but a 220ohm in series.
