I have a question about matched transistors in a Fuzz Face kind of circuit. After get the hfes of the transistors, how I match them? For example, if I have a transistor with hfe of 120, how I know that another transistor is matched with it?

Also, some time ago I made this thread: http://www.diystompboxes.com/sboxforum/viewtopic.php?t=33390&highlight=easyvibe
It was said to use LEDs from the same batch/kind. In the store that I buy everything, they receive LEDs from more than one maker, and it will be impossible to get 6 from the same batch. I was thinking to buy 10 or more, and then find 6 from the same batch, but can I do it with my DMM, and how?

I am under the impression that "matched" transistors are just transistors that have suitable Hfe's for Q1 and Q2 position in a fuzz face(or other circuit) ie 80 for Q1 and 120 for Q2 with suitable leakage.., you can bias these with trimpots.....

measuring the voltage drop? of the LED's should match them....atleast thats my limited understanding.

hope that has helped.
