I perfed this up a week ago. Wanted to have some days and nights to "really" hear the pedal. It really does sound like a tube amp cranked!!! Lets me run my 79" Marshall MK2 Lead clean while using the BSIAB2 as my dirty channel. Controlled feedback, chirps, palm mutes, cleans up with a volume knob..... unbelievable! Dead quiet too. I used three 2n5457's and two J201's like Ed recommended. I also made the two caps (from the two 10K resistors) switchable, this was covered in a recent BSIAB mod post. Switching them in and out changes the tone noticeably. I'll have a couple clips up in a week. I can't believe I waited this long to build it... what was I thinking?

Nice looking build.  Interesting approach to the ol RACO box.  I may have to try that on my next "home depot special".

I really need to bump the BSIAB up on the list but time is so limited and I have a few really good overdrives plus a new one I've been "designing" if you can say that.

any sound clips?

After reading this post, I think I'm going to have to build another BSIAB.
The one I built for myself I loaned out to a friend of mine to "try out" and I haven't seen it since!
That was back in January!
I hear that he loves it though!!  :icon_mad:

Sincerely, I can't remove the BSIAB2 out of my pedalboard... It's one of the best overdrive/distortion I've never realized or simply tried.
If you use it with an amp to high volume, it's to leave the 2 output caps connected: there is a lot of harmonics... (normally I use it with a stratocaster, but this is true also with humbucking guitar).

Really nice build!!... really tidy. Congratulations

SLick looking Perf and box layout. Best I've seen!!! If they are anything like the clips you've posted in the past, we are in for a treat!
Nice one.

Thanks! Yes, I'm polishing up a couple VHalen licks so I can get them recorded and posted. This pedal sounds great, especially doing the intro to "Mean Streets". I want to try the Dr. Boogey soon but the BSIAB (to my ears) is already a high gain distortion. Thanks to Aron, Jack, Ed, Doug and anyone else who helped with modding the mini booster!!!!
