might be a dumb question, but i've already made so many and you guys have been so cool about it, why not one more...
the send jack for the effects loop, is this a regular mono jack or something special?

thanks,
matt

its a closed circuit mono jack. it has a normally closed switch which connects to the return jack. you insert a plug into the send jack and it disconnects the short.

I just finished building the pt80 today and it sounds awesome! I still haven't quite gotten the moosapotamus effect send/return mod right though. I'm pretty sure that I must have the wiring wrong, I just can't seem to wrap my head around it, I think I've been staring at it too long.  Here is a quick drawing of how I have wired it:

The delayed signal is effected by the external effect, but when i flip the switch it just seems to turn the external effect off.

Thanks for all the help,
Matt

first off, it's really late, and i'm kinda tipsy now. keep in mind that i dont have any good image editing software on my pc and my MSPaint skills are somewhat lacking. but here you go anyways.

i added dc blocking caps to prevent popping, it was a big problem with my build, though i haven't heard of it being a problem for anyone else. so if you have popping when switching the effect in the loop on and off, this will fix it. i lifted the idea from the mcmeat schemo.

thanks, i really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. i'll give it a go today.

thanks again,
matt
