LED diode clipping. Do different LED sizes sound different?

Ok, I am replacing D4,D5,D6 with combinations of 3mm LED`s and GE Diodes on my SD-1.

I was wondering...  If a regular 3mm LED breaks up at 750, does a 2mm, or 5mm LED breakup differently?  Eg, will a smaller 2mm LED give more distortion than the 3mm?  Will 5mm give less distortion than a 3mm due to requiring more power to clip.

Thanks for your advice,

Yes, look at the "forward current" rating for each LED, thats what makes them either "louder/less crunch" or "quieter/more crunch" the same as
with 1N4001/1N4148 diode etc.
"Size" doesn't matter ( in this case !! ) its possible that a 3mm could be
rated higher than a 5mm of a different "colour/rating"
IE: Red/Green/Yellow 3mm will give different results
You often dont get the "specs" with LED's so "socket and see" !!
I like my SD-1 with one diode left empty and D4/D5 with two 1N4148 in series  and one 1N4001.
