hey guys, i read once there was a mod to make a phase 90 sound kinda like a flanger, does anybody know wich one? thanks!

Yeah, I think that was the one where you pull the PCB out and replace it with a flanger PCB...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Actually, whoever described it to you that way was not the most skilled of listeners.  Quite likely what they meant was that you could change a resistor to increase the degree of emphasis/resonance/feedback produced in the P90.  That isn't quite a "flanger" sound but it does make it a less subtle effect...which is probably what your buddy meant.

There is a 22k resistor straddling the 2nd and 4th phase shift stages that sets the amount of recirculated signal and emphasis.  You probably don't want to make that value any smaller than 15k, but values larger than 22k will decrease resonance/emphasis, and values smaller will increase it.  A15k fixed resistor in series with a 25k variable resistor (pot) could do a nice job of covering the range of emphasis settings..

hehe thanks!

yeah i meant it like that, just to give it more of a flanger type of sound not to make it sound just like a flanger but just wat u meant! thanks again!
