Can't get my Thunderchief to work. Sigh.

I'll start out by warning you that this is baby's first perfboard project, so I'm not at all shocked that I'm in the weeds here.

I'm getting no sound at all.

I'm pretty sure I've messed something up on the perfboard, but I can't find the problem.

I'm pretty sure my point to point isn't the issue--right now I have the volume and gain pots out of the circuit (soldered the send and return wires going to the gain pot together, and the out wire to the volume goes straight to the jack).

The voltages on the transistors will adjust, so there is juice flowing through it...but that's where the normality stops.

The drains on Q1, Q2, and Q3 will bias to 4.5 volts DC--although it's a bit touchy getting them there. Q4 will only go down to about 5 volts DC.

The voltages on the G and S pins on all of the transistors are no where near right--it's around 4.5 volts every  pin.

Also, when I plug this into an amp and turn the trimpots, I do get a scratchy sound out of every trimpot except the one controling Q1--I get no sound from that one at all. I don't know if that's significant.

I'm sorry if I'm not providing the right information to isolate the problem--help would be apreciated :) The layout I used is posted below. Thanks.

Edit: Of course, I've found a few soldering errors on the back of the perfboard, and the drain on Q4 will bias to 4.5v. The voltage on all of the G pins read around 3v. ARRRGGG.

Edit again: After much...ugh, investigation, I discovered that along with the soldering errors I mentioned, I had the FET's installed back asswards. I am getting sound out of it now. I feel like a retard, but hey, who hasn't been there.
