I have not used it in a while, so dont remember if this has always been an issue.
When engaged, I have much less than "unity" gain and its also a little
"thin" sounding !
Do I need a vol recovery section?
Other ideas ?
Otherwise its worling perfectly.
It's Torchy's veroboard version, with JC Maillet mods.

Thanks,
Marty.

There's a 150k resistor to ground directly before the output jack, so would an increase get me some "level" back, with perhaps a bigger input
and output cap to cure the "thinness"  ??
100n instead of 47n perhaps ?
Or is my "output" reasoning a bit "off"  !!

Hi Marty, I made the same one and mine is at least unity gain. No drop in volume at all, in fact it seems to get louder as you back off of the highs. Sorry I could not be more helpful!!!

I just tried a "real" Phase45 and there's no volume drop, but its quite a
"WEEDY" sound when engaged, its like all the low mid/bass just goes !!

Instant "dueling banjo's" tone  !!

... doesn't sound thin at all - especially through the JCM800

maybe your FET's aren't matched well enough  ... try lifting the dry and wet sources on the MIX pot (one at a time)  to make sure you're getting ample signal from both feeds ...

Well the thing "phases" great, and turning the "mix" pot fully CW or CCW
sounds quite loud, but centered .... !! less than half that level ?
perhaps I do have a bad pair after all !!
