hi !!!
i cant fin a 51pf for my TS clone...can i use a 47pf instead?
Thank you !!!!

Definitely.

If you later decide to put a 51 pF in there, you will have wasted your time. Remember that all components have tolerances. I'd say this capacitor has a ±10% tolerance (ceramic, don't know about mica tolerances), which means that your 47 pF cap might as well have a real capacitance of 51 pf, and that a 51 pF might be a 47 pF. We're talking about 4 pF difference, which is very little. Many other parameters affect the final result anyway, like capacitance in guitar cables, component quality, you name it! Capacitance is a natural fenomena, so 4 pF might also appear as a result of component placement, lead length, interconnecting cable length etc.

Hehe! I went through almost exactly the same thing when I built my first pedal (a TS clone of course). Fortunately, my dad had an advanced multimeter which could measure capacitance, so we could find one at exactly 51pf (not that it makes any difference to the sound). A few pedals later I feel a lot older and wiser...  :D
