Hi

I've found a tube of CA3100E's in the back of the stock cupboard in my office.  The datasheet calls it a 38Mhz Op-amp.  I was wondering any advantages of using this opamp in any kind of dirt boxes?

The datasheet can be found here:

Looks like its got quite a high bandwidth and high slew rate, and it can be externally compensated.

I know the terms, but don't know what they mean in terms of distortion pedal building

Anyone had any experience in using this type of opamp?

Thanks

Geoff
