Hello,
I just finished a Liquid Drive type OD for a friend. It uses the layout for the microamp from Tonepad, I mostly stuck to the stock Dist + plus values, but c7 is .068uf, and i used a 100KL vol pot.
This thing sounds great  to my ears, this is the first time i have tried a Burr Brown OPA2134PA. The diodes are 1n34a germs, the tropical fish capacitor is not there for any certian reason, it is the only thing i can get from a local supply in a low voltage .01uf.  This is a really nice sounding OD circuit that sounds really "squishy" at the lower drive settings. Sounds a bit like a good germ FF vith the guitar volume rolled off. I really like it!

The labels are vinyl decals that i paid out the *ss for. I bought a lifetime supply. I have them in red and gold. The paint is rust-oleum metallic blue. I really like that line!

wow looks really damn good. I like the idea of vinyl stickers. How did u get such a white background? I have some of those TI opamps and I love em. Id choose them over a 4558.

QuoteHow did u get such a white background?

My pics were shot on my countertop kintchen.. if i clean it really well before i shoot, it can look pretty decent with some natural lighting.

A few doors down from a used guitar shop that i help out, there is a Burton swowbaord warehouse. There is a cat who works there that has a vinyl decal machine. His car was covered with GIANT decals, that looked really high quality.. So i went over and asked him if he could make me a run of small decals.. i gave him the font i wanted, and all of the words: vol, tone, dirt, level, gain, etc.  for around $200 i got close to a life time of personal effects worth of the decals in red, and gold. . they look pretty sharp with a few coats of lacquer sprayed overtop. He said that alot of design fims use the same machine? might be worth calling around in your area?

thanks for the compliments :D

Outstanding, very nice choice of colors, I like the two color scheme.

Nice build, Ryan!  i hope that you enjoy the Liquid Drive as much as I do!  I know Pete uses it a lot too.  Try running a Ross Compressor into the input...it takes on a great "growling" sound with it.

Cool to see someone else using vinyl for there logo and contol labelings! I use it as well and didn't know if anyone else did that. I shouldn't tell you though , after hearing how much $$ to get them.
I have a good friend, a fellow musician , whose mother and him have run a vinyl sign shop for years so I can sit in there with him and have him do just about anything that I can think of, on any color piece of scrap vinyl they have laying around!! SO far I haven't done any large font LOGO's for my pedals with it , I just go to the smallest size they can cut (1/8" or less) and run off my control words(level, attack, sustain, fuzz, etc...) BUT I've been waiting to see if this is accepted in the world of DIY before putting large logo's of different style fonts . THOUGH if it looked good I wouldn't care who else does it!
Anyway glad to see I'm not the only one who thought of using the vinyl. It started as the lack of having anyway to do DECAL or screening style labeling layouts actually.
See the man with the stage fright, just standing up there to give it all his might..

I love the look of the outside, inside, it's very clean.

I'm currently liking it with a .22uf [a little larger maybe cool too] seriesed between the diodes and ground [or not, via spst switch], it let's a little bit of unclipped lowend pass to the output, as a bass boost.
100k as gain knob reduces plenty of gain.
