Big Muff Pi USA vs BMP reissues

Anyone know what differences to the circuits EH did with these two reissues? There are two reissues out right now that I know of, the BMP in classic black and yellow form, and the USA version. I assumed they were the same, as I really want to pick one up for the cool factor of the classic black and yellow box, but I was listening to the samples on MusiciansFriend.com, and you can hear a sharp difference in the two pedals, even with (supposedly) similar settings. I actually like the sound of the USA version a bit better. Would be a cool mod project to get the classic BMP to sound like it (I can't stress how much I like that black and yellow box).

And yes, before anyone says it, I do plan to build my own BMP to mess with the circuit, but I still want one of the real pedals.
