I decided to build my uncle a fuzz pedal to go along with the "Bobtavia" I built him about 8 months ago. I did this out of appreciation of him showing me how to play "Daytripper", "Smoke on the Water" and "Sunshine of Your Love" when I was 15 years old, a very long time ago. People sometimes forget how inspiring the "guitar initiation" is! I built ROG's "Multi Face" and used Joe Gagan's Silicon/Germanium trannie combination. It turned out sounding real hot and I'm sure he's gonna love it when he gets it tomorrow. Then I went to the local trophy shop and had them whip up a cover with a picture of Hendrix I got from the internet. This also turned out pretty cool. I've done a few pedals this way and I think I've finally got it down. Just file down the sharp corners, attach the plate with spray adhesive and it's ready to be clear coated (I won't do the clear coat on this because he'll just use it in his living room). Here are the pictures:

Nice one!

I love the sound of my Fuzz Face (NPN Ge) but sometimes I like to go nuts on my Ampeg Scrambler Clone; that is one good Si fuzz

Wow  :o looks amazing!

How did you do the enclosure for the two-knobber with the skull. Is it etched or a decal ??

Just get any good black/white picture. Take it to a trophy shop, they'll copy it onto a silver or gold plate and cut it to size. Use spray adhesive to attach the plate,  then drill the holes and mount the stuff up. The image is actually "burned" into the metal as I understand it.
