wat are the 2 switches doing?

what are they switching to turn it into a univibe sounding unit and to a phase 90

The script/vibe switch is probably switching in and out a resistor and a cap. the second switch i guess switches in an out a couple of phasing stages. That said, I really don't think the buildyourownclone people intended their instuction for posting in forums like this? ::)

I just realized that all the build instructions are available for download at buildtourownclone.com.. Sorry about that one Nero :icon_redface:

The Script/Vibe switch swaps out the cap values to a 10:1 ratio a la univibe. The same thing is done here on a veroboard Phase45 mod.

The second switch adds in another two phase stages to take it from a Phase45 to a Phase90. Compare the 45 & 90 schematics and youll see the extra fets etc.

Looks like the switch only switches out two phase caps (a la P45 mod) as the P90 vibe mod would need 4 caps to be switched.

I'm doin an EZ Vibe up with either a DPDT for cap value switching [phase staging caps]...maybe even two DPDTs to switch all of them...or maybe even some spst's to change values on the two 'other' stages, but one at a time.
I've got sockets for the staging caps, and think a 'two gear' [1 DPDT switching two stages cap values for a 'mere' two different sounds] would probably be enough...if the caps values are carefully chosen....notice two of the UNI cap values are comparitively quite small compared to the other two, this makes it 'wobbly'...these two would be the first 'target' for a simple DPDT switching scheme.
Because the actual wiring of the switches is simple, choosing the cap values is the tricky' part...I'm probably going to 'bypass' the small caps [470p and 4n7] with 'switch to' larger value caps for a more 'normal' / less 'wobbly' phasing choice.
Another 'trick' I'm considering is adding two more separately LFO'd stages [al' a PH45] via DPDT...IOW an 'EZ Vibe + 45'..then I could have just the 45 sound available also.
Would be cool to have 'subtle', 'Deep' and 'Abyss Like' all in the same box !!!
