I understand the famous TS is based on SD-1, so what changes would I need to make to change and SD-1 to sound like a Tubescreamer?

Thanks for your help,
GrantsV

hey Strat Cat, where did you find that image of the mod? did you make that yourself? are there any more pedal mod pictures like that?

Use the forum search engine.

Read "Technology of the Tubescreamer" at www.geofex.com.  If you're new to FX in general, read everything on the entire site.

I've had it for quite some time now. I forget where it came from.

Khas Evets

That mod changes the output buffer, but there are several other changes required to get TS 808 tone (clipping diodes, tone control, opamp, etc.). Comparing the schematics is a good place to start.

Thanks, love the diagram - right at my level of expertise!

A couple of days ago a forumite posted the cb locations for a sd-1 to ts9 mod... do a search for sd-1 mod and it should come up near the top.

Take care,
