Interference between components?

Does it matter how much space you have between components?
Touch each other(not the leads of course), is that bad?

well, if it's generating positive feedback in a high gain circuit, you'll know pretty quick  ;)

Ok, sounds like I should keep som space then, sacriface a bit of board instead of getting in trouble later?
Trying to design my circuit and at the same time saving space. I'm not exactly an electronicswiz. So.....
Gotta ask!

Have a look at the many pics of boxes, and the layouts at (for example) GGG, and you will see that a lot of FX jave things very close together. The main thing, is to have the input and output separated. If you open a few boxes, you will see that stuff can be pretty close! I don't let anything actually TOUCH, though..

OK, thx.

I'm working with an island-style-perfboard (don't know what it's called in english), some things get pretty close,
even touching, especially the 100uF filter cap and the 4007 diode reverse polarity protection. Gotta rethink this.
Guess it's all about saving board and not having to much wiering underneath, so far anyway.

You guys help me from making the newbie mistakes! :)
