Hi,
I just completed the mcmeat project for a friend and after some testing last night, I must say that the mod to the color pot is a must (in my opinion).
An earlier post  suggested that two logs of the 'colour' pot should be connected together (the middle and the one going to the 1.5K resistor) for a better range on the pot.

Joep, this would be a good addition to the latest schematic.
(link below)

Other than this, the build went smoothly. There are a lot of wires and components to connect and as expected I made a few mistakes but
nothing that could not be found and fixed.  Some of my mistakes were:
- one resistance with the wrong value messed up my envelope follower
- swapped two wires on the sensitivity pot which caused the power to
go down a few volts everytime the sound was loud
- wiring mistake on one of the 3 position switch, caused one option not to work

It's a cool project that offers lots of sound possibilities and the PCB layout is easy to follow..

Many thanks to all who posted before me on this topic and for the schematic, layout, etc.

Glad you like the mod. Initially I thought it might be a bug in my McMeat clone that required this modification. But now we are 3 (at least I know of) that prefer the pot wired this way. So it should be pretty unlikely that we all had the same bug. Basically, the mod should'nt increase the range but alter the response of the pot. While with the original schem everything happened between 90%-100% travel (in my clone) with the mod the response is linear from 0-100%. Simply makes adjusting easier.
