I across this tutorial on how to create a water drop effect with spray cans.  Looks pretty effective.  I remember seeing one in the pictures thread which looked even better, but this is pretty good considering he's just using a spray can.  I might have to try this for a future build.

Clever!  I came across a similar method in a book about decorative finishes.  They used an oil-based paint and sprayed it afterwards to create the little rings (lighter coloured in the middle).  I doubt oils are that durable though, so this is a better approach.  The pics in the book I mentioned looked better as only a fine mist was sprayed over the box, but the guy in the vid said pretty much the same thing.
