Here is an Idea for your old dod pedal.  I had an  dod fx60 chorus and took the guts out and put in a taiwanese BB box and added a DPDT switch for true bypass.  I had to put hot glue on the switch conductors to insulate it from the board. I also put the piece of foam from the old pedal and used it to insulate the back cover from the top components on the board.  I fit just perfect leaving the pots soldered to the board.  It's a fairly easy and cheap procedure.  The switch on the dod pedal original was one of those bubble type switches, which was useless.  This chorus effect is pretty cool. It isn't overbearing , but transparent.

   Rock on, Garrock

Nice job Garrock!  I think alot of DODs could use better switching.

Not sure about the depth issue, but the remaining FX60 chassis seems like it is certainly suitable for installing your own build with TB switching.  Seems to me you can simply fabricate an aluminum retrofit slug to go in that empty rectangular space and drill out a circular hole in it for the switch.  Keep in mind this would be for using the chassis for circuit boards smaller than the FX60 board that used to be in there.  No shortage of those, however.  The good news is you didn't "waste" a chassis, you simply bought another one and shifted boards around.
