Hi guys,  A while back I got a pickguard miltieffect from ebay. It's the kind they put on import Les Pauls. Mine is in pretty bad shape. Here is the layout (as it were):

The wires on the phase switch go to the pickups. I don't know where the wire on the trem switch goes to. Other wires are color coded (OR goes to OR...). The switch funtions are marked above and between switches on the pickguard and on this gif. The gate of the fet is marked, don't know drain from source, so left them blank.

Well, not a thing of beauty, but I bet someone here has wondered what's inside these stupid things...

Cool! I've had one of these (the guitar with the cheezy trem-variation effects) for a couple of years and I've been meaning all along to trace the circuit out and build a stand-alone version. You've saved me the trouble.

One thing I did read somewhere, and have not yet confirmed, is that it is necessary to have both pickups on all the time for the effects to work. Note that the guitar doesn't have a pickup selector switch, both pickups are always on.

I'll try to dig the guitar out from the back of the closet in the next week or so and help you update the wiring.

That would be great, Rick! Thanks!
