I perfed up the Neoctavia ( A.Coleman’s version of the Bobtavia) quite a while ago and just recently got it out as I’m starting to get my pedal board lineup together. It sounds really great when you put it ahead of some kind of fuzz or distortion/OD. In this clip, I’m playing just the fuzz portion of the SkyRipper using the neck pickup. IMO it sounds very much like Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Hendrix. Tracks pretty well even on quick stuff if you play between the 9th and 17th fret.  Check it out:

That's nice, I don't usually dig octavers though I never owned one, but that sounded good.

Thanks guys. IMO, the Bobtavia (Neoctavia) are pretty under rated. I notice that a few of the guys here are building fuzz/octave pedals without the octave part just for a good fuzz. With so many great fuzzes out there (Gagan, Nelson, Escobedo, Mayer, Bryant..........), it seems logical to me to build the Bobtavia as a stand alone octave and mix and match with your choice of fuzz.
