Hello guys!

Well...I was thinking in make a new finish in my cry-baby (gcb-95)
I think "general lee" is a good idea...
So...I need to remove the upper part of it (the "accelerator").
Does anybody here, knows how can I do it??

Thanks!

Paul Marossy

Yeah, you can simply tap the pin out of the foot paddle. Find the side that has the serrated edges on the pin ( I think it's the right side) and tap it out with a hammer from that same side. I use a small center punch, works perfect. When you're ready to put it back together, just tap it back in. Just make sure that the serrated end goes back in the same way that it came out.

Make sure you loosen up the machine screws holding the flat spring against the pin first!!! Lay the wah on the input jack side and
whack out the pin from the output jack side like Paul said. I usually lay the wah on a couple of blocks of wood with a gap right where the pin will come out. Also, be sure to put some grease, preferably lithium grease on the underside of the flat spring where it contacts the pin when putting it back together.

Yeah, loosening up the leaf spring isn't a bad idea. I've never had to do that really since I keep mine kind of loose. I guess I also should have mentioned that the serrated end of the pin would be on the right side with the wah pedal upside down...  :icon_redface:
