Recycling a BOSS stompbox from OC-2 to BSIAB II

Hi!

I've just put my one-week OC-2 in the scrapbook. It keeps "blopping" at tracking Octave 1 and so on... I never cared for one, but when it's offered one never says no. 

But I really want this brown metal beauty as an enclosure for my BSIAB II project, including the knobs, DC jack, some pots, switch... Anyone experience in this? How could I recycle the flip-flop switching?

Dont recycle it .... here's how :
Remove the boss board completely, where the plastic momentary switch sits
is a slightly raised section, enough room for a 3DPDT switch, with a couple of
washers keeping it in place.
It will "almost" reach the bottom plate !
Put in the bsiab circuit board, avoid that right hand corner where you're new
3DPDT is, as there wont be room under it for board/components.
It should all fit, true bypass and the old Boss footpedal will push down and
switch with the new one !
Keep jacks/power jack/knobs/LED board

Did you do this before I wonder? I hope it'll work quite fine.
The LED board I'll keep yes, but it will get a 5mm brighty with some extra enclosure drilling like I did many times on DS-1's.

Yes, I've done two !!
It's a tight fit and you have to adjust the height of the switch to :
A - fit inside
B - get "switched" by the foot pad.... may need a touch of rubber inside top of footpad above the 3DPDT
The hole for the old momentary switch is square and a bit big, but a pair
of thin washers will hold it ... too thick and it may be too high !!
I used "collar" washers from "alpha DPDT" switches, they are thin - less than 1mm
