CAn polarized electros physically touch each other on a circuit board?  I have a 15uf and a 100uf power filter cap physically touching each other on my Axis Face pc board.  Any noise or overheating problems?

thanks  :D

Yes the "can" can touch, the leads .... no !  :D

The outer cans are the negative terminal of the cap. Caps are universally insulated with plastic film covers these days, so they can touch without interacting. If your caps are insulated, don't worry about it in effects. No overheating problems, and if at least one can is grounded, no noise problems.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Very noticeable overheating occurs when you solder them with the wrong polarity  ;D

And noise: maybe we are all overlooking the main noise of the pickups itself. At high gain THAT's the biggest part of all the noise you hear!
