hi,
i'm new here, and i think this is the right place to ask this question... i just built a boost pedal from the information at general guitar gadgets, and it works great, but the level of the boost doen't seem to really make a difference until i put the knob up to 12:00.  the schematics called for a 500k reverse audio pot and that's what i put in it.  is there any other pot that would let me gain use of the full range of the pot?  what else could be causing the problem?  ???  the pedal is a microamp clone.  thanks a lot!

  A microamp should boost alot.
You probably don't have the correct taper pot for the range to be 'spanned' evenly across the shaft travel.
If you have the same value pot you have the same range, just the adjustment will be bunched up at one end of the pot travel.
