Boss DS-1 mods

hi
was just wondering if anyone has ever worked on anything like this either from scratch or modified one?
It is my favourite pedal ever I've used it over 15 years but i'm starting to want perhaps more tone control over it or a tad more gain.

there are a whole bunch of mods floating around, including the Keeley mods, on the internet and here .... You'll find a ton if you use the forum search function ....

It does however decrease the gain slightly ...
