I have been thinking about making a pedal that will add a switchable (just on/off) effects loop.  I would also like to have a clean signal go through the pedal at the same time, also switchable.  I don't think it can be as simple as a splitting the signal.  I think i will have to boost the signal if i have both a clean and effected loop running at the same time.  If anyone has an idea of how i go about this please let me know. I also may add a blender pot near the output so that the clean signal and effected signal can be blended.

As for clean signal, check out the schem of the Sparkledrive or use a Sean B.Blender with a boost function. I added one to my Fulldrive II clone.

you need to search and learn about op amp buffer circuits. A buffer will allow you to split signals.

Also, a simple mixer circuit (or summing op amp) will allow two signals to be blended.

I would perhaps suggest taking a look at the Bass Paralooper over at moosapotomus' site, perhaps you can modifty it to suit your needs (ie; make the low pass filter an all pass filter)

Well, there's a pedal project to mix 2 effects loops:

You might just jumper one of the channels. Hmm, I think one could make it simpler if he wanted to just let one channel through. But it's pretty simple project, build it like it's ment to, jumper one channel with a short cable and you'll have a backup whenever you need to mix two effected signals.

As to the switches, just wire up a 2pdt on/off switch for send and return of each channel.
