I recently built the GEO tube-based wah in the shell of the rogue WP-101, and it turned out really well. I kept the pot and replaced the switch, and jacks, and it sounds fine. The plastic enclosure is mostly about 3/16" of what I think is ABS, so it's not solid steel but it's pretty tough. It's on sale now for $15.00, http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=guitar/s=effects/search/detail/base_id/35150 . The original pedal sounded like crap, but now it's much nicer :icon_cool:. Interesting note on the original wah circuit, it actually uses an audio xfmr in place of an inductor, instead of a twin-t. Not the best shell in the world, but it's cheap and it gets the job done. Time will tell whether it's as tough as it seems.

If it isn't broken, take it apart and fix it!

Got some pics of it? I 'd like to see how you accomplished laying out the inside. Anyhow, that satisfies my curiousity about what those Rogue wah pedals sound like. I didn't expect anything different than your review of it. I also had a thought to buy one just for the shell.  :icon_cool:

Thanks for the report BT !
The Rogue case and pot seems like a good deal...what to look for if you know what you want ... and don't want.

Finally found my camera, so here's a couple of pictures. Admittedly, fitting the guts into the enclosure was something of an afterthought  :icon_redface: . But in the end it all worked out.

That explains a few things... I didn't think it would be possible to actually squeeze a tube inside of the enclosure.  :icon_wink:

No, I had to think outside the box <slap!>
